Non-Sequitur
Non-Sequitur examines life in Istanbul from the perspective of someone who resists the expectations imposed by patriarchal power. It considers how harassment and the threat of assault restrict access to public space, transforming ordinary movement through the city into an experience of vigilance and constraint. The work evokes the claustrophobia produced by this persistent threat.
